Designed for Divine Communion
Before the foundations of the world were ever laid, the Almighty God possessed a deep, holy yearning for a family. The entire purpose of creation was not a sterile scientific experiment, but a Father's profound desire for eternal companionship. When He spoke the universe into existence, every magnificent detail was carefully prepared as a beautiful home for His supreme masterpiece: mankind. We were crafted out of the very heart of God to reflect His nature and exercise His loving authority on the earth.
From the very beginning, God's absolute goal was to walk in uninterrupted fellowship with us. He did not create us to be distant subjects, but intimate children who would thrive in His majestic presence. In the cool of the day, the Creator of the cosmos would step down into the Garden of Eden for the sole purpose of spending time with the ones He loved. That unbroken communion is the glorious destiny you were born to experience.
Crowned Above the Angels
It is a staggering, triumphant truth that humanity occupies a place in God's heart that not even the majestic angels can claim. Man alone was made in the very image and likeness of God. When a legion of angels rebelled in pride and fell from their heavenly estate, God did not launch a rescue mission for them. The fallen angels have absolutely no savior, no grace, and no redemption available to them.
But when humanity stumbled into sin, the Son of God willingly stripped Himself of His celestial glory and descended into our brokenness. Because angels do not possess flesh and blood bodies, Jesus bypassed the angelic realm entirely to become a man, taking on our exact physical nature so that He could pay the ultimate price for our rebellion. The Lord of Glory died exclusively for mankind, permanently elevating us as the cherished sons and daughters of the Most High.
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hath made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
An Ocean Without a Shore
To even begin to understand the love of God, you must imagine standing at the edge of a colossal, roaring ocean that has no horizon, no shoreline, and no fathomable depth. If you took the hundreds of billions of galaxies, each swirling with trillions of stars, their staggering immensity still could not begin to measure the explosive, unrelenting love that God has for you personally. His love is an infinite universe of grace that fiercely pursues us despite our flaws.
When Adam's sin fractured the perfect fellowship of Eden, God's ocean of love refused to be held back. He immediately flooded the earth with the promise of redemption, demonstrating that He valued you far too much to leave you in the grip of the enemy. He paid the highest conceivable price—the blood of His only begotten Son—simply because His heart could not bear to spend eternity without you.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
The Sacred Value of the Family
Because God's entire redemptive plan is built upon fatherhood and sonship, He places a supreme, holy value on the earthly family. Long before He ever established human government or the institution of the church, God performed the first wedding in the Garden of Eden. The family is God's brilliant design, intended to be a vibrant sanctuary where faith, unconditional love, and spiritual authority are cultivated and passed down through the generations.
The devil relentlessly attacks marriages and households precisely because they are the earthly reflection of our Heavenly Father's divine nature. We must boldly exercise our spiritual authority and fiercely protect our homes, leading our children in the triumphant ways of the Lord just as the great patriarchs did. When we invite the Holy Spirit to govern our homes, our families become an unstoppable force for the Kingdom of God.
Dwelling Together Forever
The magnificent storyline of the Bible begins in a beautiful garden where God walked with man, and it ends in a spectacularly restored creation where God will dwell with us forever. Jesus Christ, the last Adam, utterly destroyed the barrier of sin so that our broken fellowship could be permanently restored. The agonizing work of the cross was simply the necessary bridge to bring God's beloved children back into His arms.
Very soon, the Father is going to relocate His heavenly headquarters to a brand new earth, entirely untainted by the curse of sin, pain, or death.
