Who is Jesus?
The Son of God, the Savior of the World.
The Most Unique Person in All of History
When we look back across the vast expanse of human history, one figure stands absolutely alone: Jesus Christ. He is undeniably the most famous and unique person who has ever lived. Unlike anyone else, Jesus is not simply a great moral teacher or a historical leader; He is a Being who cannot be accounted for by the human race alone. He did not merely evolve out of history, but He stepped into history from the outside, bringing eternal hope and light to a world in desperate need.
His life completely altered the course of humanity. Jesus came to reveal the perfect love of God and to offer a profound, unshakeable peace. He is the ultimate fulfillment of God's magnificent plan, the exact representation of God's nature, and the only true Savior of the world. To know Him is to discover the absolute joy and purpose for which we were beautifully created.
Every religion in the world teaches that through human effort, striving, and good works, man must somehow try to reach up to God. It is a path of endless trying and uncertainty.
Christianity is beautifully unique because it is God reaching down to man. God was in Christ restoring the world to Himself, offering a free gift of salvation based entirely on His boundless grace.
Foretold by Divine Prophecy
One of the most astonishing facts about Jesus is that His entire life, death, and resurrection were foretold centuries before He was ever born. The Bible contains over three hundred specific prophecies concerning the Messiah. Long before His arrival, it was prophesied that He would be born in the small town of Bethlehem (Micah 5:2), that He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14), and that He would bring glorious light to the nations.
These are not vague predictions, but absolute truths. The mathematical probability of just eight of these prophecies being fulfilled in one single person is astronomical—1 in 100 octillian! Yet Jesus flawlessly fulfilled every single one. This provides us with absolute, undeniable confidence that God's Word is perfectly reliable, and that Jesus is exactly who He claimed to be: the promised Messiah.
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
The Creator Manifest in the Flesh
The Scriptures reveal a breathtaking reality: Jesus is God manifest in the flesh. Before He ever came to earth as a child, He existed eternally with the Father. In fact, by Him all things were created that are in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible. The entire universe was created through Him and for Him. The very hands that formed the galaxies and painted the sky with stars willingly took on human form to draw us back to God.
Though He possessed all the glorious power and privileges of deity, He beautifully humbled Himself and laid aside His mighty power to become a man. He came as 100% God and 100% man, fully able to sympathize with our weaknesses, our sorrows, and our trials. Because He created you, He knows you intimately, and His desire for you is filled with nothing but unfailing love and purpose.
The Only Sinless Savior
Throughout all of time, there is nobody else who has lived a perfectly flawless and sinless life. Jesus was tempted in all points just as we are, yet He remained completely without sin. Because He possessed no sin of His own, He was the only one uniquely qualified to take our place and pay the penalty for our mistakes.
He did not just die for us; He died as us, acting as our perfect substitute so that we could be made entirely righteous in the eyes of God. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). He alone conquered death, rising triumphantly from the grave to offer us the greatest gift imaginable: eternal life.
Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'
Driven by Boundless Love
The entire mission of Jesus Christ can be summed up in one word: Love. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost. He did not come to condemn the world, but to bring healing, forgiveness, and an abundant, joyful life. He loves people perfectly and unconditionally.
No matter what your past looks like, His arms are wide open to you today. You are a pearl of great price to Him, so valuable that He willingly gave everything to purchase your freedom. By simply placing your faith in Jesus Christ, you receive a brand new heart, eternal security, and a future overflowing with His glorious presence. Be deeply encouraged, because the most unique person in all of history knows your name, loves you beyond measure, and invites you to walk with Him forever.
